Extend your device’s memory

iBrary Link is a free utility application that allows users to extend the memory of their devices. This app provides two-way storage between your mobile phone and your desktop without Wi-Fi, battery power, or network signal. With this, you can seamlessly transfer, share, and view documents, media, and files between multiple gadgets—even in remote locations without reception. Users must note, however, that they need a device featuring a lightning connector for them to make use of this app.

View your files anywhere

iBrary Link lets you recover your important files and at the same time free up the storage of your mobile devices. As noted, it allows you to transfer essential documents and other files into your computers without needing any internet connection or battery consumption. With the app, you can manage and organize your files, as well as edit and share them with friends. More than that, it comes with a file encryption feature, helping you to convert data into keywords to understand some important terms.

On top of providing a connection between your mobile phone and computer, the app also provides ways for you to view files from other platforms, such as cameras. By using an SD card reader that is compatible with the app, you can view and manage images from your trail camera or game camera through your phone. You can also use the app to transfer these images from your SD card to your camera roll.

However, while the app promises convenience, there are various drawbacks that you need to consider. For one, the app is designed for basic file transfer—meaning you can transfer files, but you cannot choose which ones. With this, if you have 200 images and you only want to move three or four, you need to save everything and then delete those you don’t need after the process is done. The app can also be laggy at times. To make it worse, it sometimes does not work despite using SD cards that are compatible with it.

Very unreliable

iBrary Link is a convenient tool to have if you want to expand your memory. It allows users to view and even transfer files without the use of an internet connection—that is, if it works. The app is very unstable, as it sometimes does not work. Moreover, there are various limitations to its features, which could be a deal-breaker.
